The Bambu Lab Enginering Plate is best used for filaments like ABS/ASA/PETG/PA/PC/TPU. It has a coating that helps with adhesion when printing with high temperature materials, or with flexible filaments.
For best results, please follow the directions on how to use it.
While there may not be any damage to the plates when removing the print, we still recommend using a glue stick to create an interface release layer between the print and the Engineering Plate.
This improves adhesion while also making the removal of the prints easier.
Considering that most of the time the Engineering Plate will be used for printing high temperature materials, we recommend waiting for about 10 minutes before removing the sheet.
Please be careful if you remove the sheet right after a print is complete. The plate is hot and you can burn your hands. It's also best to leave the print to cool down gradually to avoid any warping of the model.
After the model and the sheet cool down, you can simply bend the plate from the sides to remove the model, and you are ready for the next print.
While most prints can be released without a scraper, we recommend using a sharp scraper for releasing models printed in TPU or other flexible materials. Doing it with a scraper will ensure that you can peel the flexible model from the printing surface without causing damage to the model.
The slicer profiles available in the Bambu Studio are configured based on extensive testing with various types of filaments. We recommend using the recommended temperature settings included with the profiles for best results during printing.
If you believe specific filaments need more temperature, then we recommend doing a test with a smaller object with the set temperature to ensure everything runs smoothly and the adhesion is as expected.
