¶ Introduction
This page describes how to perform multi-plate printing in Bambu Studio.
¶ When to use
For cases where the model file size is large and cannot be accommodated on a single plate.
¶ Applicable models of printers
X1 Series (P1 series and A1 series are not supported at the moment)
¶ How to:
¶ Add a new plate
- After selecting the model on the print plate, click the second button Add Plate in the toolbar to add a second plate. Multiple plates can be added at one time, up to 36 plates.

- The desired model can be added to the new plate. This is an example of four plates.
¶ Slice all plates
- After selecting the model, click on the arrow to the left of the Slice plate in the upper right to select Slice All.
- Click on the selected Slice all.
¶ Print all plates
- When slicing is complete, the cursor will automatically land on All Plates Stats. Click on the arrow to the left of the Print plate in the upper right and select Print all.
- Click on the selected Print all.
- Select the printer and start printing once the settings are complete.
¶ Print the second plate
- When the first plate is finished, click Close on the printer screen.

Once the print has cooled, remove it from the print plate and clean the plate and place it back on the heatbed.

The screen will automatically return to the folder page, click on the newly added print file to turn the page and select the model you want to print next.
- After selecting the model, click Print now in the lower right corner to start printing.
¶ The print order of all plates
When performing multi-plate printing, typically the first model printed is the last model added. Therefore, the print order should be based on the order in which the print plate are added, i.e., the plate that is added first will be printed later. This order helps to ensure that the model is assembled and spliced correctly.
