3D text is a tool to create 3D text parts for an object, it can be placed on any type of surface, not only a planar face.
It is the same as other model parts. So you may change the color of text by changing its "filament" or by color painting tool.
The font to be used to generate text. Bambu Studio supports dozens of the most commonly used fonts.
The text height in mm.
Bold style of font
Italic style of font. It can also be used together with the bold style.
The text thickness in mm.
The text gap in mm.
The text angle in degree.
The text embedded depth in mm.
The text content to be generated as a 3D text shape.
If surface is checked, the text will be attached to the surface of the object. If unchecked, a flat text will be generated at the position selected by the mouse.
If horizontal text is checked, the text will always keep horizontal. If unchecked, the text will follow the default orientation.
Rotate text
: Shift + Mouse move up or down.
The added 3D text is also a part of the object (refer to the wiki for definitions of objects and parts: Split to Objects/Parts | Bambu Lab Wiki). You can also change the 3D text to a modifier part or a negative part for different effects.
As shown in the following GIF, if you change the type of 3D text to a modifier and then change its color, you can add a 2D text pattern to the surface of the model. Because the nature of the modifier is to modify the parameters of the part that overlaps with the model, in the process, it modifies the color of the part that overlaps with the model, and you can use this method to add text that is completely flush with the surface of the model.
Similarly, if you change the 3D text type to negative parts, you can create a text pattern that dents into the inside of the model.
